GLAMR platform for AMS training, Zero dose integration into eHMIS, ASHA app for AMR
surveillance and education
Description: GTA Foundation is leveraging digital health and AI-driven solutions to enhance
AMR stewardship, infection prevention, and public health interventions. A significant milestone
was the launch of an online course on AMR Stewardship and Infection Prevention Control (IPC)
through the GLAMR web platform (www.glamr-gta.org). This course has been registered by 120
physicians, doctors, and nurses from all provinces of Nepal, providing them with accessible,
high-quality training on antimicrobial resistance management.
In addition to AMR training, GTA Foundation is integrating Zero-Dose Immunization Tracking
into Nepal’s eHMIS (Electronic Health Management Information System), ensuring effective
monitoring and outreach for unvaccinated children. The ASHA app has been developed to
facilitate AMR surveillance and education, enhancing real-time data collection and response
strategies.
Furthering capacity-building initiatives, GTA Foundation conducted the PhASE Program
training in September 2021, aimed at sensitizing community pharmacy owners and managers on
responsible antibiotic dispensing and AMR awareness. Additionally, Nursing and Midwives
Training in AMR Stewardship was organized in August-September 2021, including Training of
Trainers (ToT) sessions. These sessions empowered nurses and midwives with essential skills to
implement AMR best practices and infection control measures.
By integrating digital learning platforms, AI-driven health solutions, and professional training
programs, GTA Foundation continues to drive innovation in AMR stewardship and healthcare
capacity-building across Nepal.
