GLAMR Platform for AMS & IPC Training
Support/Partner: Henry Ford Health Global Health Initiative
Status: Phase-Out
Overview
Since 2015, the GTA Foundation, in collaboration with the Henry Ford Health Global Health Initiative and other partners, has been at the forefront of promoting Antimicrobial Stewardship (AMS) and Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) across Nepal. This initiative has targeted key stakeholders including physicians, nurses, midwives, pharmacists, and community pharmacies, while also pioneering community-level antimicrobial surveillance and stewardship efforts.
Building on the success and sustained demand for AMS training, GTA launched the Global Learning in Antimicrobial Resistance (GLAMR) platform (www.glamrgta.org). This AI-driven, digital learning solution aims to enhance access to AMS and IPC training, support surveillance efforts, and strengthen the broader public health ecosystem in Nepal.
As part of the Global Learning in Antimicrobial Resistance (GLAMR) Platform, a virtual meeting was held on January 20, 2021, via Zoom to support the implementation of telemedicine for antimicrobial resistance (AMR) training. The meeting aimed to provide an overview of AMR, Infection Prevention and Control (IPC), and Antibiotics Prescribing Guidelines. Following this meeting, a training session was conducted on January 22, 2021, equipping healthcare professionals with essential knowledge and best practices in antimicrobial stewardship.
