Nutrition Security Recovery through Multi-sector Interventions (NSR-MI) Nuwakot and Rasuwa Districts supported by ACF International Nepal on 2016

GTA conducted a comprehensive assessment to build a multi-sectoral understanding of the risks and vulnerabilities contributing to malnutrition. The study focused on the nutritional status of children and women, homestead food production (HFP), Essential Nutrition Actions (ENA), and behavior change communication (BCC) practices across five Village Development Committees (VDCs) in Rasuwa and Nuwakot districts.

Rapid Risk and Health Assessments

  • GTA conducted rapid health risk assessments across the 14 most-affected districts post- earthquake, evaluating the vulnerability to disease outbreaks and the status of health and water supply infrastructure.
  • Additionally, food and nutrition security assessments were carried out in Nuwakot and Rasuwa, informing targeted nutrition interventions.
