GTA Nepal Launches 'Knowledge Café': Fostering Dialogue for a Stronger Health System

Starting this July, GTA Nepal is excited to launch "Knowledge Café" a platform to spark dialogue among health experts, policy leaders, and development partners.

This initiative will explore critical health issues, including Nepal’s emergency preparedness and the importance of collaboration in strengthening health systems during crises. It also aims to shed light on often overlooked topics and promote a deeper, fact-based understanding.

Our first session was successfully held on 25th July with the theme “Health Emergency - Government Policy and the Role of Development Partners in the Emergency Response.”

The event featured engaging discussions led by:

1. Dr. Dipendra Raman Singh, President, Sukraraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital, MoHP, Nepal

2. Dr. Prakash Budhathoki, Chief of Health Emergency Operation Center, MoHP, Nepal

3. Dr. Vijaya Arun Kumar, Associate Director, Global Health Section / IEM Fellowship, Co-Director, Global Health Research Collaborative, Wayne State University, USA

The session was both insightful and productive, highlighting the need for strong policies and teamwork in responding to health crises.

In the coming days, Knowledge Café will keep exploring different important health topics. A big thank you to everyone for joining and supporting us. With your continued involvement, we hope to make each session even better.
