Free Eye Camp Identifies Urgent Care Needs for 12 Cataract Patients in Pharping.

We are pleased to report on the measurable impact of our collaborative Free Eye Check-up and Screening Camp, organized in partnership with Dakshinkali Municipality and supported by Netradham Eye Care Center, LOMUS Pharmaceuticals, and G.T.A. Foundation.

Key Impact Data:

  • Total Residents Screened: 114
  • Critical Referrals: 27 individuals requiring specialized treatment.
  • Sight-Saving Priority: 12 cases of cataracts identified for immediate surgical intervention.

This initiative highlights the crucial need for decentralized eye health services. By bringing care directly to the community—particularly reaching high-risk groups like farmers (the largest group screened)—we are directly tackling preventable blindness, a major public health challenge in Nepal.

This success demonstrates a scalable model for public-private partnership in health systems strengthening. We remain committed to supporting sustainable access to quality healthcare in semi-urban and rural regions.
