Together Against AMR

GTA Foundation successfully conducted a “Training of Trainers on Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR), Antimicrobial Stewardship (AMS), and Biosafety & Infection Prevention and Control (IPC)” for Veterinary Service Providers.
Through interactive learning sessions, discussions, and practical activities, participants explored the principles of antimicrobial stewardship, biosecurity, infection prevention and control, effective communication with farming communities, and facilitation skills to support future capacity-building efforts. This initiative is part of the “Antimicrobial Stewardship Program for Veterinary Service Providers and Farming Communities in Nepal”, implemented by GTA Foundation in collaboration with the Henry Ford Health Global Health Initiative. Together, we are advancing the One Health approach by promoting responsible antimicrobial use and strengthening the capacity of veterinary professionals to safeguard animal, human, and environmental health.
We extend our sincere gratitude to our facilitators, Dr. Linda Kaljee and Mr. Tyler Prentiss from the Henry Ford Health Global Health Initiative, and Dr. Sikesh Manandhar and Dr. Nabaraj Shrestha from the Department of Livestock Services, for generously sharing their expertise and experience. A heartfelt thanks to all the participants for their active engagement, enthusiasm, and commitment to advancing antimicrobial stewardship and the One Health approach in Nepal.
